TOURNAMENT HISTORY

GAP’S HISTORY IS GOLF’S HISTORY.

We were founded on the concept of friendly competitions between rival clubs. Throughout our 122-year history, many of America’s — and the world’s — top amateurs got their start in the Philadelphia area. From Albert H. Smith, the first GAP Amateur Champion, to J. Wood Platt, and all the current champions, GAP’s history is as long as it is unmatched.
