Competition initiated in 1957 in memory of Larry Malmed. Tournament conducted by Al Porter until illness interfered. Association accepted Tournament in 1984. Senior Division added in 1992 and Super-Senior division added in 2015.
Eighteen hole individual gross stoke play.
Current Member Club amateur champions, senior champions, super-senior club champions and previous winners of the event. Senior Champions must be 50 years of age or older, Super Senior Champioins must be 65 years of age or older.

Sudden death play-off for Championship in each division. All other ties to be divided equally.
Larry Malmed Cup: Sheffield punch bowl on pedestal base, hand chased repousse. Engraved with individual names since 1962. Total height: 18 1/2 inches; total width: 16 inches. No trophy for the Senior Champion.
