18-hole individual gross stroke play qualifier.
The field is limited to the first 144 entries.
Practice rounds are available Tuesday, May 2 after 1 p.m., Thursday, May 4 after 1 p.m., Sunday, May after 2 p.m. You must call to schedule a tee time no more than 7 days in advance 215-723-3680. The practice round fee is $50 and includes mandatory cart. Payment options are cash, reciprocal charge, Mastercard or Visa.
Pairings will be in groups of three.
If size of field warrants, 1st & 10th tee, AM & PM Starting.
The qualifying number and ties will gain entrance into the Championship. There will be no playoff for qualifying positions or alternates.
Automotive transportation is required in this event, the fee of $35 is in addition to your entry fee and includes range balls.
The number of qualifying postions available is based on the number of exempt entries and the number of entries at the three qualifying sites.
BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship Details
36-hole individual gross stroke play qualifying on the first day. 32 players continue to match play competition with two rounds scheduled on the second and third days, and the final at 36 holes on the last day.
Open to male Member Club golfers with handicaps of 7.0 or less.

All players who wish to compete in the Amateur Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club on June 13, 2017 and are not exempt under the Qualifying Exemptions must qualify at one of the 3 qualifying sites.
The field of approximately 144 players will consist of the exempt players entered and those who qualify at the Amateur Championship Qualifiers held at Indian Valley CC, Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf & CC, and French Creek GC.
Practice rounds are not available.
To be determined by size of field, typically groups of three.
Normally beginning at 7:00 a.m. on 10 minute intervals.
Automotive transportation is not permitted in this event.
Low gross for qualifying round, winner, runner-up, semi and quarter finalists.
Match play by sudden death. Playoff for qualifying positions.
J. Wood Platt Trophy - sterling silver urn with fixed handles, pedestal base, lid and applied decoration. Total height: 15 1/2 inches. Engraved with winners since 1960. Note: Platt Trophy replaced the Cameron B. Buxton Memorial Trophy which had been in competition from 1926 to 1959.
NOTE: The Silver Cross which represents the stroke play championship of the Association will be awarded to the player returning the lowest total score in the Patterson Cup and the qualifying rounds of the Amateur Championship.
