The Golf Association of Philadelphia was formed in 1897 by the four founding member clubs: Belmont Golf Association (Aronimink GC), Merion Cricket Club, Philadelphia Country Club and Philadelphia Cricket Club. Since, GAP has continued to grow, as has its members' history.
Today, the Golf Association of Philadelphia encompasses 133 its own memorable place in the game of golf in the Philadelphia area, including those clubs who have since branched out from the GAP.
