Individual
• Establish a Handicap/Join a Club
Several of our Member Clubs have opted to participate in an on-line registration program, so joining a club has never been easier. At a cost of just $40 per season, the player can join one of these clubs and have the club host the player's Handicap Index. With that registration comes the benefits of GAP individual membership, including free subscriptions to Golf Digest, the Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine and the on-line publication Global Golf Post. Individuals also receive access to GAP Member Play Days. These registrations are all at clubs which allow online posting and enable you to maintain your handicap entirely via the internet. However, this Individual Membership does not include access to either GAP Team Matches or Golf Association of Philadelphia Championship tournaments.
• Golf Society
Get a group of at least 10 buddies and form your own club! Golf Societies are also ideal for businesses small and large to promote healthy activity to their employees. Studies show that golfers exceed 10,000 steps and burn nearly 2,000 calories during a typical round, which meets the guideline for exercise recommended by most physicians. Individual benefits include:
Membership Benefits
a. Handicapping services through the GHIN service and recommended by the USGA.
b. Access to great private courses as part of GAP's Member Play Day events.
c. Free subscriptions to the Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine, Golf Digest and Global Golf Post.
d. eRevisions – emailed handicap updates on the 1st and 15th of each month featuring your score and handicap histories plus the latest GAP news.
e. GAPerks – coupons and specials available through your GAP Locker to all individual members of the Golf Association of Philadelphia.
f. On-line Score Posting – all scores can be posted via the Association's FREE Mobile Application, or our Web site, www.gapgolf.org.

The Golf Association of Philadelphia has nearly 180 Member Clubs, including our Associate Clubs, that are all licensed to issue handicaps. A golfer can go through the membership process at one of the private clubs or visit one of the public clubs in an attempt to inquire about joining the club to get a USGA Handicap.
