History
The Hickory Valley Golf Club property houses two courses — the Ambassador and Presidential — on its site. The Presidential Course, the flagship of Hickory Valley, combines something new with something old. The layout incorporates nine of the original 27 holes with an unforgettable trip throughout an abandoned tree nursery over the inward nine. The Presidential leads golfers across wide fairways, rising and falling greens and a vast arrangement of bunkers, water hazards and trees.
As you move to the back nine, the course changes a bit as the holes are carved around high foliage and smaller greens that require clean, tight shots. The Presidential requires full attention, particularly on the last three holes, the most challenging on the course.
Although shorter in length than its sibling, the Ambassador makes up for it by having a more mature designed course. The Ambassador takes you through 70-foot trees along with rolling greens. The Ambassador is a course for all ages and abilities. The most taxing hole is No.9, a 620-yard, par 5. There are more than 45,000 rounds played annually at Hickory Valley Golf Club.
